Preserve the benefits of your facial treatment

We all love that feeling after a facial so here are a few tips to keep it lasting longer:

  • Try not to touch your face, we know how hard it is once you get super smooth skin but dirty fingers and clean face is asking for spots, so no touching!

  • Keep hydrated with water, smoothies & herbal teas to keep the skin glowing. Warm water with lemon in the morning is perfect. Flavour your water with cucumber & mint for a refreshing taste.

  • Clean your phone screen, pillowcases, hats & scarves if prone to repeated pimples in certain areas of your face, especially after a treatment.

  • We all know smoking & drinking alcohol is one of the main causes of premature ageing so you don't need me to tell you but reducing your intake will massively help skin health as well as internal health.

  • Wear sunscreen or an SPF moisturiser as part of your regime. Reduce sun exposure time if you have opted for the treatments involving Lactic or Glycolic Acid.

  • After a treatment, give your skin a breather and try to refrain from wearing heavy makeup.

  • Reduce your intake of oily, fatty & sugary foods, basically, all the good things. Have a day of veggies and fruits to fill the body of antioxidants which your skin will love.

  • Get a good nights sleep. Sleep is when all the cell rejuvenation happens. If your prone to puffiness when you wake, sleep with your head raised above your shoulders to help drainage and prevent pooling of fluid around eye and cheek area.
